India Threatens To Crack Down On Tibetan ProtestersIndia is threatening to take measures against a group of around 100 Tibetan exiles who are holding a protest march against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. The authorities, who don't want anti-Chinese protests on Indian territory, say they will take action if the protesters leave the Kangra district.

The exiles began their six-month march from India to Tibet on Monday. Large crowds attended their departure from Dharamsala, the home town of the Tibetan Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama.

On Monday, hundreds of Tibetan activists clashed with police in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu. They were stopped when they marched on the Chinese embassy.
